“The Witch House” on West Main
Historic Downtown Mystic’s 62 West Main Street was built circa 1850 for the Randall Family. The Randall’s were prominent business people in Mystic at the time. The house has since changed hands many times over. The shutters with witches were put up in the 1940s as a joke when the resident family had small children. There is no historical connection with witches, per the late Carol Kimball. Locals playfully refer to it as “the witch house”. The 934 sq ft home has 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms.
