Built in 1840, the Old Lighthouse Museum in Stonington Borough remained in use until 1889. The Stonington Historical Society acquired it in 1927 and it has been a museum ever since. Visitors may climb the 29 circular steps and a short ladder to reach the top of the tower, which looks over three states.
