Smiler’s Wharf is a proposed redevelopment project at the current 11.5 acre site of Seaport Marine in downtown Mystic. Plans include a 45-unit hotel, boardwalk, new restaurant, a marine services building and residential living.

I think this development shows amazing creativity. I can only imagine how, when complete, that it will enliven the Stonington side of the Mystic River. I live in Stonington and fully support its approval. It will enhance a rather “industrial” and deteriorated part of downtown to an exciting venue for residents and tourists alike.

I am opposed. This may look nicer but overall will not be an improvement for the area.
