Virtual Program: Threatened & Endangered Wild Birds

Join us for this all ages event with Horizon Wings, a CT organization that rehabilitates wild birds and hosts community education programs. Meet some threatened and endangered wild birds live over a Zoom call. What do the classifications “threatened” and “endangered” really mean? What caused the drastic decline of the Peregrine Falcon populations in North America in the 1960s? Horizon Wings will feature an American Kestrel, a Peregrine Falcon, a Northern Saw-Whet Owl, a Barn Owl, and a Bald Eagel in this educational event. Learn which species of raptors are currently on Connecticut’s threatened and endangered list and ways in which we can help to promote their survival.

Registration is required to attend this program. You will receive a Zoom invitation the morning of the program.
