Apple Picking, Pumpkins and More at Whittle’s in the Fall

The air is crisp and so are the apples according to 100+ year old Whittle’s Willow Spring Farm. At just a $1.50 per pound when you pick your own, this fun and flavorful Fall activity is great for all ages.

The stone wall lined back country roads of Mystic will guide you to the property where you can park easily on most days. Grab a bag or two from the counter or bring your own basket. The folks at Whittle’s can direct you to your favorite variety, as they grow many types of apples…MacIntosh, Cortland, Macoun are a few. When your bags or baskets can hold no more, head back to counter to weigh in and browse the other fresh produce, local honey, corn, and more.

Pick out your favorite pumpkin in the adorable harvest patch with tractor/hay stacks and a GIANT pumpkin on display in October. They also have a beautiful variety of potted mums for sale. Great photo opportunities at the farm and orchards.

Don’t forget to stop by and see the adorable pigs and chickens! Corn is 50 cents for a discounted ear of corn to feed the pigs. Chicken feed is 25 cents.
