There are no public firework displays scheduled in Mystic for the 4th. The largest display in the area goes off at Sailfest in New London over the Thames River after the holiday. See details on that and other Independence Day events here.

Can you see the fireworks on July 8 from downtown mystic?? Or do you need to go down towards the water more??
Your best bet is to get to the Thames River (Groton side is about 15 minutes from downtown) to see the show.
