Virtual Program: Drawing to De-stress
You don’t have to be da Vinci to enjoy drawing. A Drexel University study published in Art Therapy in 2016 found that drawing releases stress reduction hormones for everyone, regardless of skill level. Come pick up your very own beginner’s grab and go drawing kit at the Library and start your artist’s journey. The kit includes a sketchbook, three drawing pencils, a black pen, an eraser, and some introductory information about drawing. Supplies are limited, so register early to ensure you receive a kit!
Then join us for a Zoom program about basic tips and techniques for drawing, and how to make drawing a stress relieving practice. We will continue to meet monthly to share art, sketches, or doodles we’ve been working on with other group members, and then have built in time to free sketch and chat. All are welcome to join the Zoom meeting with their own materials or with drawing grab and go kits provided by the Library.
Registration is required to attend this program. You will receive a Zoom invitation the morning of the program.
