Pulitzer Prize Winning Poet Paul Muldoon Reading at the Mystic & Noank Library

Join Pulitzer Prize winning poet Paul Muldoon for an evening of poetry in the Spicer Reading Room to raise money for the Mystic & Noank Library. Light refreshments will be offered after the reading.
Please join us for a very special literary event in May in the Mystic & Noank Library’s Spicer Reading Room. The library will be welcoming Irish Poet Paul Muldoon for a reading from his work on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 6:30 PM. This unique event has been sponsored by individual friends of the Mystic & Noank Library. This is a ticketed event and fundraiser for the Mystic & Noank Library. Ticket sales and optional supporting donations go to support the library’s annual fund.
Muldoon has had an incredible career and is a standout among Irish poets writing today. He is author of more than thirty collections of poetry including New Weather, Why Brownlee Left, Quoof, Meeting the British, New Selected Poems, Hay, Boy Sand and Gravel, Horse Latitudes, Frolic & Detour and more.
Muldoon, who studied with Seamus Heaney, has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize, the T.S. Eliot Prize for Poetry, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Muldoon was poetry editor at the New Yorker Magazine from 2007-2017. He is currently a professor at Princeton University and founding chair of the Lewis Center for the Arts.
Christy Max Williams, 2022 recipient of the William Meredith Poetry Prize, will introduce Muldoon to our Mystic audience. Bank Square Books will be on hand with copies of some of Muldoon’s recent works for purchase. Tickets are limited by seating and occupancy in the Spicer Reading Room.
