Digital Program: Three Sisters and Other Native Gardening Traditions

Join us with an educator from the Tomaquag Museum to learn about Native gardening traditions and techniques. The Three Sisters, corn/beans/squash, create a perfect trio of cultivation, the science of which can be seen in their traditional story. Indigenous people were masters of horticulture and in this session we will explore Indigenous gardening traditions past and present.

About the Museum
The Tomaquag Museum is Rhode Island’s only museum operated by Indigenous people and entirely dedicated to telling the story of the Indigenous peoples of southern New England, highlighting the federally recognized Narragansett Tribe. The museum is based in Exeter, RI.
