Digital Program: Food Explorers Baking Class for Kids!

Join Katie Shepherd, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers to bake some Apple Crumb Bars! This fall dessert has a layer of caramelized apples on top of a delicious cookie crust with a streusel on top.

Food Explorers provides children with the knowledge to make healthy choices for themselves. By combining nutrition education with cooking and hands-on food exploration, you’ll have a Food Explorer in no time!

You’ll need the following ingredients for this recipe:

3 large apples (Granny Smith if possible), butter, white & light brown sugar, lemon, flour, baking powder, cinnamon and 1 egg. You will also need a stand or electric mixer.

This is an online program. Registration is required to attend this program. You will receive a Zoom invitation the morning of the program. Families with children ages 7 and up.
