Art Reception: Emma T. Smith

Join us on July 6th for an artist reception with Emma T. Smith, whose landscapes will be featured this summer in our Ames Room.

​Emma grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY a city with a vibrant arts community. During her years in elementary school she was fascinated by art history lessons presented to her by nuns in Catholic school. She enjoyed attending summer school art classes during middle school. In high school she took oil painting classes and this became one of her lifetime passions. She has studied art in high school (Saratoga Springs NY), college (both Northeastern University in Boston and Central CT State University), and at the Farmington Valley Arts Center, Avon CT.
