This Summer at Mystic Seaport

Historic Harbor Tours

Every summer is big at Mystic Seaport, but the summer of 2017 looks to be on another level. Here are some highlights to look forward to.

Sabino Rides Again

Headlining the action at Mystic Seaport, in our opinion, is the return of the steamboat Sabino to the water. After an almost 3 year extensive restoration project, she will once again take passengers starting August 1st. New this time around is that Seaport admission will not be required to ride. Tickets are sold separately. The 2017 schedule runs until October 9. The Sabino is the oldest wooden, coal-fired steamboat in regular operation in the U.S.

Draken Harald HÃ¥rfagre Tours

June 30 – September 4
This is exciting. Due to popular demand the Seaport will offer guided tours of Draken Harald, the world’s largest Viking longship. Tours will run on Tues., Thurs., Fri., Sat. and Sun. from June 30 through September 4. Tickets are $6 and are in addition to Seaport admission. The Draken will be at Mystic Seaport until Spring of 2018 when the crew will begin a tour of the east coast.

And not to mention, the Sabino is said to run in this year’s parade!

Mystic Seaport will extend its Sunday hours in the summer…from 5-8pm visitors can walk the grounds, eat outdoors at Schaefer’s Spouter Tavern and enjoy music. Music starts at 5:30pm.
