Rio Salado Mexican Restaurant, brought to you by the Jealous Monk team, is now open across the street from Olde Mistick Village. We’ve heard the table-side guacamole is muy delicioso! The menu also includes: street tacos, burritos, tamales, margaritas, and kid friendly options as well. Outdoor seating open seasonally and a private dining room is available by reservation.

Mystic River Chocolate Cafe opened its doors at Factory Square in Downtown Mystic. You must try the mochaccino made with fresh melted chocolate, esspresso and topped with MRC shavings. Their menu includes: organic craft chocolate bars made on site, drinkable chocolate, ice cream, cookies, coffee, cupcakes, and fresh Zeke’s Bagels brought in from Niantic, CT.

Manufaktura opened on West Main Street – Shop this unique Polish stoneware / pottery gallery where every piece is hand-painted, glazed and fired to 2250 degrees Fahrenheit which makes pieces extremely durable and resistant to chipping, oven, microwave and dishwasher safe, so they are functional for everyday use.

Atherton & Co. opened in November in the Schooner Wharf building of Downtown Mystic. Stop in to shop their handwoven (in shop) rugs, home decor and gifts like hand-crafted leather letter card envelopes and key fobs or hand-carved wooden spoons. Now carrying Magnolia Home Fragrance Collection by Joanna Gaines.
