Go Fish Renovation Reveals Glimpse of Old IGA

Go Fish restaurant is in the thick of some major renovations and the construction crew uncovered a piece of Mystic’s past. The imprint of the “Colonial Market” sign was revealed and brought back some memories of the former IGA market!

Here’s the IGA “Colonial Market” in operation in the 70’s. It opened along with the Olde Mistick Village in 1973.

The Go Fish renovations began Jan. 3rd and are expected to be completed in time for re-opening in April. You can keep up with the big makeover on Facebook. The new Go Fish will boast lots of natural lighting and the addition of outdoor dining.
