Downtown Business Spotlight: YSR – Holistic in Mystic

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Yvonne from YSR – Holistic in Mystic, located at 15 Roosevelt Ave (across from the Train Station) here in Mystic. While she has been in this location for just about six months, YSR is not new to Mystic. Moving from The Packer Building, where the store was located for 2 years, the new spot has provided some great new exposure for Yvonne.

From the moment you step into the store, you can tell that something special is happening. Not just a retail space, Yvonne is a Reiki Master and spiritual healer. Each item offered is one of a kind and charged with positive energy by Yvonne herself. From acrylic paintings that seem to transport you into a world of calm and peace to hand made jewelry perfect for infusing positive energy on your wedding day, YSL exudes an uplifting spirit. Tarot card and astrology readings can also be arranged for those needing a little more insight.

Yvonne began her formal training in healing at 22, but she always knew that it was a part of her being. After six years of training to become a master, working for Hospice, and living in Plymouth MA, Yvonne decided to follow a dream and open her own store in Mystic. While she grew up in Mystic, she had not resided here. Drawn by, among other things, the name Mystic, Yvonne knew this would be the perfect town to become her own boss and enjoy the
freedom and control that comes with that responsibility.

Now, accompanied by her rescue Chihuahua Zoe, Yvonne is able to spend her days in the comfort of her own store, creating one of kind pieces of jewelry, some taking as long as 16 hours to create, and waiving to her Mystic neighbors as they pass by the windows.
