Woodshop Basics: Build a Joiner’s Mallet 1/27

No prior woodworking experience is required.
This class is aimed at the woodshop novice – no experience necessary!. Students will learn how to safely operate common woodshop power tools including a miter saw, bandsaw, drill press, and router table. Students use these tools to build a laminated wooden mallet using oak and epoxy, which they will take home at the end of the class.
Spark Members will receive certification on the following tools, allowing members to use these tools independently:
– Compound miter (chop) saw
– Drill press
– Bandsaw
– Router
Ages 18+
MEMBERS- Because of generous donations from the Frank Loomis Palmer Fund, the price of our certification classes has been greatly subsidized. Making them more affordable to our membership.
This class takes place at Spark Makerspace at 7 Union Street, New London, CT.
Class Fee is non-refundable. Please plan accordingly. Please note that this class may not run if it does not meet minimum enrollment. If this happens, you will be contacted a week ahead of time.
$30 for Spark members; $68 for the public
