Women in Science Day

Mystic Aquarium, with support from the Petit Family foundation, is proud to host the 3rd annual Women in Science Day on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Activities are planned from 10:00am-2:00pm and feature Mystic Aquarium’s own women scientists, researchers and animal care professionals as well as women of achievement from the local scientific communities. From the numerous fields of science, these women will share information and host hands-on activities related to their vocation to showcase the amazing work they do in the name of science. Talk to our scientists and explore the abundance of career options in a variety of scientific fields, learn the pathways each woman took to get where she is today, and how her work is having a real world impact in the field. The possibilities in the science field are endless; it’s never too early, or too late to start! This event is funded by a grant from the Petit Family Foundation. No registration required, this event is included with regular Aquarium admission.
