VISIT R2-D2 AT THE LIBRARY!

The Bill Memorial Library in the City of Groton invites Star Wars fans of all ages to take a photo with everyone’s favorite droid, R2-D2, on Saturday, April 25 between 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. R2-D2’s current mission is visiting charities and children’s hospitals as well as fan events across the galaxy, but he will be making a special stop at the library to meet with Star Wars fans. R2-D2 is a 3-D printed, interactive 1:1 scale replica of the famous movie character. Attendees will even view some of R2-D2’s internal components to see how he works. No registration necessary; just stop in.

Library hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The Bill Memorial Library, a landmark on Groton Heights since 1890, is located at 240 Monument Street in the City of Groton, near the Groton Monument and historic Fort Griswold.
