Steamboat Sabino Fundraiser at Engine Room

Join Mystic Seaport for a special fundraising event and help put a new boiler in steamboat Sabino!
The 1908 steamboat Sabino is currently undergoing restoration in the Museum’s shipyard. While the majority of the restoration will be complete by early summer 2016 when the vessel is launched back into the water, Sabino will operate as a dockside exhibit for the foreseeable future until enough money is raised to replace her boiler.
Join us for a special Sabino fundraising event at the Engine Room restaurant on Tuesday, March 1 at 4 p.m. From 5 to 7 p.m., meet Mystic Seaport staff members who are involved in the project to restore Sabino and return her to service. Tell your food server that you are a Sabino supporter and a portion of your check will go towards the steamboat’s new boiler.
