Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Us! Join us on Wednesday, October 11th, at 6:00 PM. We’re partnering with the Hispanic Access Foundation for a free in-person Our Heritage, Our Planet (OHOP) Film Week event. Hispanic Access Foundation’s annual OHOP Film Week celebrates the voices, experiences, and storytelling traditions LatinX, Hispanic, and other communities of color and our ocean and waterways. Following the films, panelists from the local community will discuss the film’s themes and their personal connections with the ocean. Light appetizers included with registration.

Panelists and Moderator include:

• Representative Aundré Bumgardner – Connecticut Representative and member of the General Assembly Environment Committee
• Reverend Jesús E. García – Lead Pastor of Church of the City, New London; Hispanic Leadership Network Fellow; and Hispanic Access Foundation
• Mairim Martinez – Assistant Curator of Marine Mammals and Birds, Mystic Aquarium
• Dr. Maria Rosa – George and Carol Milne Assistant Professor of Biology at Connecticut College
• Nakai Clearwater Northup – Head of Education, Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center
