Inspiration for this year’s Nautical Nightmare, Wake of the Banshee, is founded in the depths of Irish, Scottish, and English folklore, pulling reference from the works of Yeats, Shakespeare, and other collected cultural whisperings regarding the mischievously mysterious “fair-folk”.

Each performance of Nautical Nightmares is an approximately one-hour tour that covers a 1/3 – 1/2 mile of uneven terrain including cobblestone, wood planking, grass, gravel, and stairs. Audience members walk or stand for the majority of the show. Because performances occur in all weather conditions, we strongly recommend the use of seasonal outerwear and appropriate shoes.

Performances of Nautical Nightmares require a special ticket in lieu of general admission. Elements of the show can be frightening and are not recommended for children under 12 years of age, or the faint of heart. Each tour is limited to 18 people. Pre-registration is encouraged as tours may fill quickly and tickets at the door cannot be guaranteed on demand.
