“Join Mystic Seaport Museum for an evening of haunted thrills with Nautical Nightmares: Madness on the Mystic River, inspired by the works of H. P. Lovecraft. In this frightening theatrical, Mystic is falling into chaos! You’ll join the alienists of Arkham to investigate a haunted whaleship and the madness that has descended through the town … if your sanity can survive the night!

Each performance of Nautical Nightmares is an approximately one hour tour that covers half a mile of uneven terrain including cobblestone, wood planking, grass, gravel, and stairs. Audience members walk or stand for the majority of the show. Because performances occur in all weather conditions, we strongly recommend the use of seasonal outerwear and appropriate shoes.

Performances of Nautical Nightmares require a special ticket in lieu of general admission. Elements of the show can be frightening and are not recommended for children younger than 12 years of age, or the faint of heart. Advance registration is required. Tour size is limited to 18 tickets.”
