Film Discussion Group

Join the Mystic & Noank Library for a new Film Discussion Group every third Thursday of the month. Watch the film selection for the month before meeting, and then regroup to discuss the film’s major themes, genre, style, and more. Luis Gonzalez, Mystic resident and professor of Hispanic Studies at Connecticut College with special expertise in Spanish cinema, will lead the discussion group. Each month’s selections will vary to feature a diverse array of films in terms of genre, mood, style, language, and culture.

September’s film selection is Lady Bird directed by Greta Gerwig and nominated for five Oscars. You can view the film on Kanopy with a Mystic & Noank Library card.
