Fiesta del Oceano with Dora the Explorer at Mystic Aquarium

We’re kicking off Hispanic heritage month with a Fiesta del Oceano! Celebrate the flair of different cultures on Saturday, October 12 while experiencing the thrill of a visit to Mystic Aquarium!

Dance to live music by local favorites Grupo Tentacion and do the salsa, merengue, bachata or cumbia. You can even learn some saucy new moves during a lesson from the band. Witness local middle school art students create personal art depicting their vision of How I See My Ocean as part of an art contest in partnership with the Mystic Museum of Art. Watch them create their pieces during the event then see their art on display at the Aquarium for the rest of the year. Plus, bring your camera to catch a selfie with adventurer extraordinaire, Dora the Explorer!

Discover animals from around the world like the fierce American alligator, the endangered African penguin, the vibrant poison dart frog and so many others. Witness the natural talents of California sea lions at our Foxwoods Marine Theater. Enjoy live feeding sessions where you’ll learn about amazing adaptations and discover cool facts about belugas, seals, penguins and more.

Fiesta del Oceano and Dora the Explorer meet and greet is free for Aquarium members and with admission.
