Explore cemetery lore and mourning customs with historian Jennifer Emerson as she leads a tour of Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic’s very own City of the Dead.

Then come to the Denison Homestead where Lisa Saunders, author of Mystic Seafarer’s Trail, will share her research of sea captains, Charles Sisson and Thomas Wolfe. Her research revealed that she is a distant cousin of Captain Sisson and that she may be the only surviving relative in the region.

After several more shocking revelations, she began to wonder, “Are Captains Sisson and Wolfe trying to speak beyond the grave?”
