“Discolored Perspectives” and “As We Know It” Opening Exhibitions
08/08/2020 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeOn Saturday, August 8th, 2020, Hygienic Art will host the opening reception for the “Discolored Perspectives” and “As We Know It” exhibitions.
The “Discolored Perspectives” exhibit will feature the work of two different artists– Karen Murch and Stuart Chandler. The goal of the exhibit is “to show a world without rose-colored glasses; not sunshine and rainbows but something somewhat odd and unsettling, and yet friendly and familiar. Artwork created by self-taught artists, inspired by unconventional materials and the discolored world as they see it.”
The “As We Know It” exhibit will feature art from our five resident artists– Casey Spec, Ryan Whiston, Bess Gaby, Troy Zaushny, and Joseph Rivera (as displayed in the cover photo). Five artists share their perspective on the world, in distinctly different mediums and formats, to reconnect with an audience that may never be the same again.
The reception will be held outside in the Art Park with the artists on Saturday, August 8th from 6:30-9:00 pm and the exhibits will be on display in the Main and Underground Galleries. There will be a cash bar and BYOF from local restaurants and dine in! Small groups will be allowed inside gallery (according to state mandated guidelines, personal protection advised).
