Watersport Adventure
Monday, October 12 9:00am – 12:00pm Grades K-4
Enjoy a taste of kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding, and take the first exciting step in learning to surf by practicing your stance, balance, paddle technique, and duck dives safely in the Harbor. All programs will be done safely in the harbor or on land. Registration required. * Come prepared to get wet! Grades K-4 Cost: $40 Minimum 6 students
Marble Maze Craze
Monday, October 12 1:00-4:00pm Grades K-4
Learn the basics of physics with the fun challenge. Working in teams and using force, friction and gravity create a maze through which a marble can travel. Compete with other teams to see which marble moves the slowest and get extra points for creativity and team work! Registration required. Cost: $40 Minimum 6 students
Kayak Adventure
Monday, October 12 1:00-4:00pm Grades 5-8
Join NESS for one of the last kayak adventures of the season! Learn what makes a kayak float by learning about buoyancy. Then grab a paddle, learn basic strokes and explore Stonington Harbor. Registration required. Cost: $40 Minimum 6 students * Come prepared to get wet!
Underwater Caves, Volcanoes and the Deep Sea
Monday, October 12 9:00am-12:00pm Grades 5-8
The deep sea holds so many mysteries that the scientists call it “inner space”. Join our team of ocean explorers as we investigate the hidden world aboard the NESS Exploration Vessel. Study underwater caves and volcanoes, scrutinize unusual life forms and discover clues from the past! Registration required. Cost: $40 Minimum 6 students
