Chowder Days 2017

With cool fall days comes the desire to indulge in a hot bowl of chowder – and what better place to do so than Mystic Seaport? Latitude 41° Restaurant/Coastal Gourmet’s Chowder Days menu is sure to satisfy all appetites and features a variety of chowders and bisques, along with clam fritters and other fall favorites. Enjoy seasonal desserts such as apple fritters, as well as live music.
Enjoy a 25-minute hay ride – on a boat! ($4 per passenger; children 3 and younger ride for free.) Watch a chowder demonstration in the 1768 Buckingham-Hall House, where this classic favorite will be cooked over an open hearth. Kids can create their own corn husk doll, play 19th-century lawn games on the Village Green, and do an activity in the Children’s Museum.
