An Evening with Author Heather Dailey-Mezzacappa

Join us on June 3rd from 5-6 PM for an hour of short stories with Author, Heather Dailey-Mezzacappa at the Hygienic Art Gallery. She will read sections from independently published book, “Curious Creatures and Fairy Tales.”

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Curious Creatures and Fairy Tales is a compilation of stories based on eight mixed media figures created by Heather Dailey-Mezzacappa.

In addition to the stories and images of the figures, Heather talks about the creation of and inspiration behind each character and how she has begun bringing the characters to life through animation.

AUTHOR BIO:
Heather Dailey-Mezzacappa is an artist, children’s book writer, beekeeper, and curious tinkerer. She enjoys combining traditional art media with technology in much of her work, using one to enhance the other. Her skill for bringing ideas from the digital world into the tactile world and vice versa is something she prides herself on greatly. The inspiration for most of her work comes from animals and nature.

The scope of Heather’s artistic endeavors is ever evolving and includes painting, character creation, story telling, illustration, animation, and 3D printing. She is the author and illustrator of The Adventures of Gerry the Grasshopper and The Tale of the Fox & the Cricket as well as the author and illustrator of a compilation of stories called Curious Creatures and Fairy Tales.

She enjoys movies of almost any genre, art, travel, a good story and a good laugh. A Connecticut native and Connecticut College graduate, she resides in Milford with her husband John.
