SUMMARY:Dye House Day
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate our country’s textile history at Dye House Day! The North Stonington Historical Society will have weavers spinners dyers and sewers at this family friendly event. Try your hand at cloth making\, enjoy our dye house and dye garden\, and enjoy historic music. We will be “wauking the tweed” at 11:30\, 12:30 and 1:30 if you want to join in this old Scottish tradition of preparing wool by distressing it. This was a group activity with lots of traditional music and was a chance for neighbors to get together. Come join us! This is a FREE event. \nMore Details
