DESCRIPTION:The Young Engineers’ Club (YEC) is an exciting program hosted by the Mystic & Noank Library that provides an opportunity for tweens/teens\, ages 10 and up to become technology creators! \nEager students cover new topics monthly and have studied the basics of computer networks\, how the Internet works\, and how to serve your own webpage using HTML/CSS and serve it to other students in the class using a NodeJS web server. They have also learned what electricity is\, Ohm’s law\, basic electronic components\, schematic design\, circuit board design\, soldering\, 3D modeling/printing\, and the basics of C programming. \nThis is an online event. You must register to attend this program. To protect the security of the meeting\, the join link will be provided the day of the meeting via email. You can find more resources about how to use Zoom\, a video conferencing program\, on their website. \nThis exciting initiative for youth aged 10+ is FREE! Class size is limited.
