SUMMARY:Myst on the Water: Coastal Cocktails at Mystic Seaport Museum
DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Alexis Rockman: Oceanus\, a major exhibition now on display at Mystic Seaport Museum\, experience a truly unique evening with internationally-renowned mixologist Anthony Caporale\, and Suzie Flores\, award-winning owner of Stonington Kelp Company. The evening will begin with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Oceanus with Christina Connett Brophy\, Senior Vice President of Curatorial Affairs. Oceanus takes the viewer on a journey of global discovery beneath the world’s changing seas\, deftly weaving natural history\, archeology\, adventure\, political analysis\, and science into a story about the human condition.\n\nAfter the tour\, you’ll head to the patio of waterfront restaurant\, Greenmans’ Landing\, to enjoy a bespoke “Myst On The Water” cocktail\, created by Anthony. This smoked gin martini is a tribute to the early morning fogs that drift in over the kelp beds surrounding coastal Connecticut\, and features pickled Stonington Kelp Co. kelp mingling with Stonington scallops in sugar kelp-infused gin\, topped by a gentle haze of locally-grown thyme smoke.\n\nTo complete the evening\, you’ll stroll along the Mystic River at sunset to visit the scenic Thomas Oyster House exhibit where Suzie will talk about regenerative ocean farming\, which focuses on restoring the planet and nurturing local communities. Light bites and a glass of wine are also included. This program is for participants 21 and over. Pre-registration required\, walk-ins cannot be accommodated\n\n\nMember Price\n$45\nNon-Member Price\n$55

No experience needed\, and we welcome both regular volunteers and one-time or occasional helpers. \nSign up at linktr.ee/dpnc for a Giving Garden volunteer shift\, thank you!
