Picnics are welcome! \n2019 Summer Sounds Concert Series Schedule\nJune 11 As Time Goes By\nJune 18 Noank-Mystic Community Band\nJune 25 Thames River Big Band\nJuly 2 U.S. Coast Guard Dixieland Jazz Band\nJuly 9 Middletown Symphonic Band\nJuly 16 Old Lyme Town Band\nJuly 23 Westerly Band \nJuly 30 Waterford Community Band \nAugust 6 – Klezmenschen (6pm) and the Noank-Mystic Community Band (7pm)\nKlezmenschen will present a toe-tapping early evening concert of Klezmer music. What is Klezmer music? Remember the wedding dances in Fiddler on the Roof? The clarinet solos of Benny Goodman? It’s a joyful music that makes you want to take hands in a circle and dance\, but it can make you nostalgic for the vanished world of Eastern Europe and the Jazz Age of New York in the 1920s. Led by Roz Etra\, the repertoire includes “Jewish Jazz” arrangements of traditional tunes from the Old Country\, Yiddish Theater songs from the Lower East Side in the 1930s and Israeli dance tunes.

Beverages such as wine\, mimosas\, and beer will be available for purchase as well. \nThe event is free of charge and there are activities for all ages\, including a Children’s Art Park. Area nonprofit organizations offer food and drink for sale to raise money for their organizations\, making this a great community event. Hosted by Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce. \nParking Map
