DESCRIPTION:The Complex Performing and Creative Arts Centre 2 will be hosting an Open House and Grand Opening Celebration this Saturday\, September 8 from 10am to 3:30pm at their new location in Stonington’s Velvet Mill. \nAn offshoot of the original location in Putnam\, CT\, The Complex 2 will offer education in dance\, theatre\, music\, and visual/creative arts for children and teens. Students have the option of taking Community Classes or joining pre-professional courses of study. The Complex 2 focuses on building technical skills\, self-confidence\, creative voice\, self-awareness\, collaborative skills\, critical thinking skills\, and guiding students to discover themselves as they study authentic techniques and methodologies. \nAt the Open House\, parents and prospective students will have the chance to talk with faculty members\, register for classes\, and participate in sampler classes led by The Complex 2 faculty. The schedule for the sampler classes is separated by age\, with ages 3-5 from 10-11am\, ages 6-9 from 11:30am-12:30pm\, ages 9-12 from 1-2pm\, and ages 13-18 from 2:30-3:30pm. DESCRIPTION:The Complex Performing and Creative Arts Centre 2 will be hosting an Open House and Grand Opening Celebration this Saturday\, September 8 from 10am to 3:30pm at their new location in Stonington’s Velvet Mill. \nAn offshoot of the original location in Putnam\, CT\, The Complex 2 will offer education in dance\, theatre\, music\, and visual/creative arts for children and teens. Students have the option of taking Community Classes or joining pre-professional courses of study. The Complex 2 focuses on building technical skills\, self-confidence\, creative voice\, self-awareness\, collaborative skills\, critical thinking skills\, and guiding students to discover themselves as they study authentic techniques and methodologies. \nAt the Open House\, parents and prospective students will have the chance to talk with faculty members\, register for classes\, and participate in sampler classes led by The Complex 2 faculty. The schedule for the sampler classes is separated by age\, with ages 3-5 from 10-11am\, ages 6-9 from 11:30am-12:30pm\, ages 9-12 from 1-2pm\, and ages 13-18 from 2:30-3:30pm.
