The course is taught by an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and will run Monday\, July 27 through Friday\, July 31 from 1:00-4:00pm. \nGet ready to have fun while learning how to become a future leader of the ocean! This is a great opportunity to get a basic overview in First Aid\, CPR\, AED\, and waterfront rescue skills. There will be an emphasis towards physical fitness\, oceanfront hazards\, and marine ecology. This program also incorporates activities such as snorkeling\, boogie boarding\, beach flags and rescue tube relays. Students must be able to swim two laps continuously and tread water for one minute. DESCRIPTION:After beating Ocean State on Tuesday evening 9-2\, the Mystic Schooners clinched at least the number 2 seed in the Southern Division for the NECBL playoffs. The Schooners will either face Ocean State (2-4 against the Waves this summer) or New Bedford (4-2 against the Bay Sox this summer) in the first round. With this comes the chance to defend home field in at least the first round playoffs and also a third straight berth in the NECBL playoffs. Mystic looks to advance past the first round for the second time in three playoff appearances in franchise history. This season has included a franchise record in wins (currently at 25 with the potential to reach 27) as we look ahead to the playoffs to see what our record will finish at. \nGame 1 will be on Monday night\, August 3rd\, at 6:05PM at Fitch High School.
