DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 75th Annual Community Carol Sing on Sunday\, December 18\, 2022. Mystic Seaport Museum visitors will be admitted free of charge on this day from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. As in the past\, donation of non-perishable food will be collected as well as monetary donations in lieu of admission. The donated food and contributions will be given to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center. \nThe Carol Sing will commence at McGraw Quadrangle at 3:00 p.m. \nAlso that day\, the Treworgy Planetarium’s program\, “The Star of Bethlehem\,” explores the winter skies\, merging science\, mythology\, religious observance\, winter traditions\, and music. These live shows will be held at 12pm and 2pm and are free to visitors.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for “Thursdays Under the Stars” where you can experience all that our Planetarium has to offer! Each of our Thursday night programs this fall will have a unique theme\, and that theme will be woven into all of the night’s elements. Each night will feature the following activities:\n– a 30-minute full dome movie projected onto the Planetarium dome. We have secured a collection of award-winning short films\, and each one will have its Mystic Seaport Museum premiere on a Thursday night!\n– a 30-minute live show about the current night’s sky.\n– our young visitors will be invited to collect a take-home craft activity (a different one each week to coincide with the night’s theme)\n– weather permitting\, the night will conclude with an outdoor observing session using the Planetarium’s telescope. \nThese are five separate programs that will happen on Thursday nights\, and each program will run from 7:30-9:00 PM. Experience our original theatrical event “Yuletide Spirits” and learn how ghost stories like “A Christmas Carol” became a staple of winter festivities\, and why they’re now just a spectre of the past. As you explore our historic village\, you’ll enjoy classic carols\, master a 19th century dance\, and of course sip hot drinks while listening to chilling tales — but not too hot or too chilling for the whole family to enjoy! \nBe sure to join us for Lantern Light Village “Yuletide Spirits” as we bring to life New England holiday seasons of old in what’s certain to become your next favorite holiday tradition! \nAdmission: \nAdult (Ages 13 and up) $29\, Members $24 \nYouth (Ages 4-12) $24\, Members $19 \nAges 1-3 are free \nPurchase Tickets \nPlease note the following: \n\nHorse and carriage rides last between four and five minutes.\nThis experience is almost entirely outdoors regardless of weather conditions. Dressing in clothes that will keep you warm and dry is a must!\nSome portions of our campus are lit only with kerosene lanterns to provide a 19th-century atmosphere. Bringing an additional personal light source (such as a flashlight or headlamp) is allowed if you feel you need one.\nNo pets are allowed on grounds for this event due to the presence of horses. SUMMARY:Thursdays Under the Stars at Mystic Seaport Museum
DESCRIPTION:Join us for “Thursdays Under the Stars” where you can experience all that our Planetarium has to offer! Each of our Thursday night programs this fall will have a unique theme\, and that theme will be woven into all of the night’s elements. Each night will feature the following activities:\n– a 30-minute full dome movie projected onto the Planetarium dome. We have secured a collection of award-winning short films\, and each one will have its Mystic Seaport Museum premiere on a Thursday night!\n– a 30-minute live show about the current night’s sky.\n– our young visitors will be invited to collect a take-home craft activity (a different one each week to coincide with the night’s theme)\n– weather permitting\, the night will conclude with an outdoor observing session using the Planetarium’s telescope. \nThese are five separate programs that will happen on Thursday nights\, and each program will run from 7:30-9:00 PM. SUMMARY:Thursdays Under the Stars at Mystic Seaport Museum
DESCRIPTION:Join us for “Thursdays Under the Stars” where you can experience all that our Planetarium has to offer! Each of our Thursday night programs this fall will have a unique theme\, and that theme will be woven into all of the night’s elements. Each night will feature the following activities:\n– a 30-minute full dome movie projected onto the Planetarium dome. We have secured a collection of award-winning short films\, and each one will have its Mystic Seaport Museum premiere on a Thursday night!\n– a 30-minute live show about the current night’s sky.\n– our young visitors will be invited to collect a take-home craft activity (a different one each week to coincide with the night’s theme)\n– weather permitting\, the night will conclude with an outdoor observing session using the Planetarium’s telescope. \nThese are five separate programs that will happen on Thursday nights\, and each program will run from 7:30-9:00 PM. Here are the different themes for the five nights: \nOctober 20: “The SUN\, our Power Plant”\nNovember 3: “The MOON\, our Next door Neighbor”\nNovember 17: “The EARTH\, our Very Special Home”\nDecember 1: “The PLANETS\, our Solar System Colleagues”\nDecember 17: “COMETS and METEORS\, the Wild Cards” \nRegister
