DESCRIPTION:The Mystic Fire Department in partnership with the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the Halloween parade to downtown Mystic on October 31! \nThe parade will follow the traditional route it has always taken\, beginning on Water Street\, taking a right onto Route 1 and going over the bridge\, turning right onto Cottrell Street\, passing by Mystic River Park\, then a left onto Washington Street\, and finally turning back onto Route 1 into the fire station. \nThe event gathers at 1pm on Halloween and hits the road at 1:15pm. \nAfter the parade there will be plenty to do at the fire station including kids entertainment at 2:15pm and a trunk or treat car area behind the fire station. \nThis is truly a community event with the Mystic Fire Department\, the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce\, Stonington Police\, the Groton police\, and the Groton and Stonington High School communities all pitching in.

At the end of the walk\, visitors can enjoy food and live music\, play a lawn game\, warm up by a roaring fire\, or join a small tour that explores the darker side of the Museum’s historic village. \nThe walk runs 5:30-9:00 p.m. each night. \nAdmission to the Jack-o-Lantern Walk is by a special ticket: \n\nAdults (ages 13 and up) $20.00\, Youth (ages 4-12) $15.00.\nMuseum members: Adult $17.50 and Youth $12.00.\n\nTickets may be purchased online at checkout.mysticseaport.org/all/tickets. \nPrior to the Jack-o-Lantern Walk\, the Museum will hold two days of public pumpkin carving where visitors can carve one or more pumpkins that will be displayed in the walk. Pumpkins and all tools will be provided\, and participants will receive a $2 discount coupon to be applied against admission to the walk. Explore the Nature Center trails on a self-guided tour with glowing jack-o-lanterns and frightful and delightful creatures of all kinds. Families will enjoy spooky-themed crafts and games\, as well as close encounters with the cuddly and creepy creatures. We will have treats and cider available for purchase. Meets at DPNC. \nStrollers are discouraged on grounds for safety purposes. Don’t forget your flashlights! Children must be accompanied by an adult on the trails. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 20\, 5:30 – 7:30 pm \nWhat will spook you in the woods? Our annual Halloween festivities are sure to haunt your senses as darkness falls. Explore the Nature Center trails on a self-guided tour with glowing jack-o-lanterns and frightful and delightful creatures of all kinds. Families will enjoy spooky-themed crafts and games\, as well as close encounters with the cuddly and creepy creatures. We will have treats and cider available for purchase. Meets at DPNC. \nStrollers are discouraged on grounds for safety purposes. Don’t forget your flashlights! Children must be accompanied by an adult on the trails. Recommended for ages 4+. \nTo volunteer as a character on the trail\, please contact the Nature Center at 860.536.1216 \nYouth (ages 3 to 12): $12\, Adults: $8
