Over 150 participants are expected to run\, walk\, and celebrate our community that supports children and families.\nThe City of Groton\, Groton Police\, and Groton Parks and Recreation are partnering with Riverfront Children’s Center to bring back a popular Annual 5K Run/Walk. The 5k race and the 1.3-mile walk will begin and end at Eastern Point Beach\, 1 Beach Pond Rd. Groton\, CT. The event is family-friendly and appeals to all age groups and abilities. Strollers\, wheelchairs and wagons are welcome! \nBring the whole gang and help support Riverfront Children’s Center’s vital early childhood education programs. Refreshments will be provided to all participants\, and family friendly lawn games will be set up onsite for your enjoyment. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers and all participants’ results can be posted online. \nRace fees are $25 pre-registered by August 18 and $30 after August 18 and on race day. There is also a walker’s rate of $10 at any time. Free t-shirts will be given to those who pre-register.
