Barn Island Wildlife Management Area (Stonington)

Barn Island Wildlife Management Area consists of more than 1,000 acres and a pleasant mix of salt and freshwater marshes, hardwood forests, fields, and a boat launch. Moderate trails are suitable for hiking, dog walking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Hunting allowed in season. Bring your camera to take some scenic pics!

Open sunrise – sunset. A few parking spaces are available at the entrance to main loop trail. Otherwise there is large paved parking lot at the boat launch.
