Noank native son and author Gary Maynard will be returning to the area to share his debut novel, Plumbelly.

This debut work of fiction draws heavily on Gary’s boyhood in which he and his family sailed around the world for five years on “Scud,” built in Noank by Gary’s father, George, as a replica of Joshua Slocum’s “Spray.”
