Shop Small

There’s no better way to celebrate all that makes our little community of Mystic so special than by supporting our local shop owners this holiday season. Thank you to the Downtown Mystic Merchants who keep our town thriving! Eat, shop, and explore Mystic!

Santa Arrives by Tugboat

2pm at Mystic River Park

Welcome Santa to Mystic River Park as he arrives on a 60’ tug boat, the John Paul, then opens his ears to the wishes of children waiting anxiously in line to see him.

Tree Lighting in the Mystic River Park

6pm

This one’s self-explanatory. They’re going to plug in the lights.

Holiday Lighted Boat Parade

6:20pm

Decorated vessels parade down the Mystic River, through the bridge, and return to the Mystic River Park, where spectators and judges gather. Boats are judged on creativity and team spirit, and prizes are offered for Most Charismatic Crew, Innovative Vessel, Best Dressed Vessel, and Miss Mystic Vessel of Grandeur.

View from the park, anywhere along the river near downtown, or check out the viewing party at MMoA (6-8pm)

  1. Oh Home! Occaquan, VA is lovely, but I do yearn for the delight that is Mystic around this weekend’s events every year. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all!
