Nearly 200 people didn’t let this morning’s chilly spring weather deter them from joining in the March of Dimes “march for babies” walk held in Olde Mistick Village. This event, sponsored by Mohegan Sun and supported by multiple local businesses, is an annual event to raise awareness of the importance of prenatal and postnatal treatments for some of our most vulnerable infants.
Today’s fund-raiser was comprised of almost 25 teams of families affected by the challenges of premature birth. The walk is expected to have raised approximately $100,000 towards the end-of-year goal of $130,000.
